What: An early 18th century copy of a large theological treatise, directed against various heresies, compiled by the monk George, the disciple of Antonius the Syrian. Generally known, for shortness’ sake, by the name of Talmid or “the Disciple.”

What: A copy of a large theological treatise, directed against various heresies, compiled by the monk George, the disciple of Antonius the Syrian. Generally known, for shortness’ sake, by the name of Talmid or “the Disciple.” Neatly written, by several hands, about the end of the 17th century.

What: An early 19th century copy of Retu’a Haimanot, or “the Orthodox”, a collection of homilies for various occasions. According to the colophon, this volume was written by one Asba Giyorgis for Sahla Selase, king of Shoa, but before his accession to the throne on the death of his father Wasan Sagad in 1812.

What: Mashafa Bahri za-bezuh Setu or “the Book of the Pearl of great price.” Apparently of the 17th century. In a more modem hand are prefixed sections on Melchizedek and on the 318 Nicene Fathers, with Creed and Anathemas.
